This situation is challenging us to create a desirable product not solely based on user needs and business goals but also capability and limitations of huge amount of 3rd parties. After developing an MVP in 6 months, we continuously keep improving the product based on user feedback while adding new features inspired by our user research.

This product was sourced by our need to correlate Git and project data to highlight issues that need attention in the company. For us, a separate engineering intelligence platform meant overhead of maintaining an extra tool, for a high cost. Instead we wanted to turn the project data, in our case which was on Jira, into company’s single truth of data not for everyone in the company to support intelligent decision making. Working closely with the engineering team, we defined the most critical metrics to track, defined the best way to visualize them and created an MVP to present Atlassian team.

İşbank, the largest private bank in Turkey, was founded in 1924. They launched the first mobile banking platform in the market in 2007 and it has now more than 300 functions. While all of those are big achievements they also have some drawbacks for certain people; especially the young generation who simply don’t want to use "their dad’s bank”, or do not need “paying their vehicle’s tax” or 200 other features; but simply want “sharing the bill with people nearby”, or “asking money” rather than sending money. Based on our findings, we came up with a financial product concept, i24, which has been picked up by the bank, supported by business analysis and created the basis of a new product which is currently under development.

Commencis is preferred consultancy partner of İş Bank, collaborating closely on variety of projects since long years. As a principal designer in the agency, I've worked on several İşCep projects for about 1.5 years. Each project started with the evaluation of current status with the users, business and technical stakeholders and completed with the evaluation of the new designs with them again until we made sure that all the existing pain-points are removed and possible improvements are done. Me and my team made it possible for İşcep users to gather spending insights to manage their finances, select the best account for themselves and manage their products, and become an İş Bank customer in a few minutes from the comfort of their home.

Paragaranti

When the project started, the platform was 15 years old and it was definitely showing its age. Beside the heavy web content, there were many docs and info shared with the subscribers by e-mails. A thorough content audit was followed by interviews targeting investors with different level of experience and a literature research to understand investment psychology and risk appetite. After uncovering user needs and behaviours, we crafted unique experience maps for 5 different persona, which layed out how each persona would interact with the platform. Wireframes were tested with real users, and with the final designs all those interactions were translated into the product.

This product nicely complimented the previous work “DigitAll”, both from a user and a personal experience perspective. Comparing the agents and employees; the customer needs were less complex but now there were also several business needs to satisfy: keeping the current customers happy while introducing them to new products. So besides designing the screens; I took over the task of creating and implementing features to increase user engagement and sales based on an exhaustive user research.

Teaming up with another UX designer we designed the entire digital platform from scratch for insurance agents to run their business effectively. First, all the main tasks were defined and turned into design cycles. Each cycle started with several stakeholder & user interviews, continued with wireframing and all design outputs were evaluated with 30+ users in each cycle to ensure that they work as they were intended to.
